Over the course of the last year, in the framework of the outreach programs of the ERC-HUJI research project “Apartheid—The Global Itinerary”, Dr. Tal Sela has served as the academic adviser of Hadas Goldberg, a high school student from Haifa studying at the Leo Baeck Education Center. Hadas is currently researching apartheid in South Africa as part of her final matriculation requirements in History. The collaboration between the ERC-HUJI research laboratory and the Leo Baeck Center found an additional expression in a workshop on June 8th 2018 initiated by Dr. Tal Sela in which researchers from HUJI met young researchers from the Leo Baeck high school under the direction of Dr. Ruth Ash-Argyle. The participants discussed their mutual fields of interests as well as the difficulties that they encounter in their research projects. The second part of the workshop was dedicated to a presentation of the ERC-HUJI research program on apartheid by its director, Professor Louise Bethlehem.
